Security film for glass panes internal SEC 058

Protective films for glass panes exceeding 3 square meters in size, designed for indoor use, adhere to the EN 12600 standards. These films are notably thick and exhibit exceptional tear resistance.

They enhance the structural integrity of the glass. When applied to the surface of glass, this transparent film creates an integrated membrane that secures the glass. In case of an explosion, it prevents the glass from shattering. This is especially recommended for public spaces like stores, shopping malls, schools, hospitals, government buildings, exhibition halls, sports facilities, and residences with glass areas smaller than 3 square meters.

These films bolster the glass’s resistance. Through a specially formulated adhesive, security films absorb the energy produced by impacts or shock waves resulting from explosions. They significantly reduce the risk of glass breakage, a fact confirmed by tests conducted by CEBTP in accordance with the NF P78.406 & 2B2 NF EN 12600 standards, specifically concerning resistance to impacts from soft bodies.

They prevent glass fragments from scattering. In the event of glass breakage, an invisible yet durable membrane retains the shattered glass pieces. The glass may exhibit cracks but remains intact, safeguarding the well-being of people and assets. Compliant with the strictest safety regulations, these safety films (Fire Rating / Euroclass Standards) do not fuel or spread flames when burned. Even under these extreme conditions, they maintain their characteristics, ensuring the glass does not disintegrate under heat.

They do not compromise glass transparency. Thanks to their crystal polyester composition, these films do not alter the glass’s transparency and visibility, even after extended exposure to sunlight. Furthermore, the treatment applied with acrylic adhesive effectively filters 95% of U.V.A. radiation, preventing the fading of displayed items in the window.
